Paragon Porsche resumes Carrera Cup campaign

Andy Purdie will continue his Porsche Carrera Cup GB campaign for Paragon Porsche in rounds nine and ten of the championship at the Croft circuit over the weekend of 15/16 July.

The Maidstone-based driver will race the Paragon Porsche-entered 911GT3 Cup car as the championship programme resumes after a six-week mid-season break. Other support for the project comes from Revo and Porsche & 911 World.

At 21-years old, Andy is one of the rising stars of the championship, and scored a famous pro-am category victory in the most recent race at Thruxton in early June. Given his form at Thruxton, the break in the calendar since then has been a bit frustrating for Andy, and he is now raring to get back into action again at the North Yorkshire track. He has raced well and won at Croft in the 2005 Porsche Club Championship.

The Croft circuit is a real challenge, with part of the lap being a series of fast, seeping corners, while another part of the lap features a slower speed, more technical sequence of corners.

The Paragon car will be testing at Croft on Thursday (13 July), with one race on Saturday and one on Sunday as the Carrera Cup GB supports the British Touring Car Championship.  Sunday's race is scheduled for live TV coverage on the Motors TV channel.
