Snetterton next for Purdie in Carrera Cup GB

The high-speed Snetterton circuit in Norfolk is the next destination for Andy Purdie and the Paragon Porsche entry for rounds 13 and 14 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB over the weekend (12/13 August).

The Maidstone-based driver is racing the Paragon Porsche-entered 911GT3 Cup in the high-profile championship that runs as a major support race to the British Touring Car Championship and will now challenge for more podium results at the East Anglian track.

Andy knows the Snetterton track well and has competed several test sessions there already this season. Now, he will be aiming to put some bad luck from the previous rounds at Donington Park firmly behind him. Although he displayed tremendous pace at Donington, a puncture and then a gearbox problem prevented him from finishing either race.

Coming away from Donington without any points has left Andy seventh in the pro-am standings within the championship, but he knows he has the speed to finish on the pro-am podium.

The Carrera Cup pack has a 24-lap race on each day at Snetterton and Sunday's race will be broadcast live on Motors TV during the British Touring Car Championship coverage. The race is due to start at 4.15pm.
