The Carrera GT is a race bred sports car, it is Porsche's
first supercar since the GT1 in 1998.
The Carrera GT is one of the first production cars to feature a
chassis made from carbon fibre. The 5.7 litre V10 engine is
comfortbly one of the most powerfull on the road, featuring a six
speed racing gearbox and radical new ceramic clutch system. Together
these suspension and engine technologies offer genuine race
performance with exemplary dynamics and braking from speed.
Despite the racing origins the Carrera GT benefits from practicality
and exceptional active safety, it even has a luggage compartment in
the front. When the sun shines and the convertible weather arrives
there is a removable lightweight hardtop which can be easily removed
and stored in the luggage compartment. During testing the Carrera GT
lapped the Nurburgring in 7 minutes and 30 seconds making it the
fastest production Porsche ever.
