Utilising the Boxster’s already sublime chassis and mid engine layout
that has stretched a grin across countless faces since 1996, the Cayman is
Porsche’s new adaptation bringing a stiffer and stealthier coupe into the
range. The inception of slippery coupe body has increased agility and road
holding for the driver at the same time allowing a practicality that the
Boxster was always praised for. With a rear hatch boasting considerable
space married to the usual deep front well around a two seat design. The
sharper Cayman also has a practical side, as the interior morphs into 997
territory with familiar switch gear and a solid 911 feel throughout but
retains that individual engine note and intake roar unique to the mid engine
layout.
